Rules of Conduct

ALC Marrakesh welcomes a large number of learners from all walks of life. In order to preserve the basic harmony and order of the Center, we respectfully ask all those who study here to observe certain rules of conduct.

Behavior

At the ALC, we believe in behaving with dignity and treating others with respect and courtesy. An individual’s behavior should not interfere with the rights of others. This includes the use of appropriate language, actions and attire.

Dress

We kindly ask our students not to wear clothing that may distract from the learning experience. Please do not wear clothing that contains obscene language or pictures or clothing that could be construed as indecent, exposing excessive portions of skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment.

Regular Attendance

We ask our students to please attend classes regularly and make an effort to attend all classes.

Students who are habitually late or absent risk being dropped from the ALC. For younger students, parents will be notified in the case of habitual tardiness or absences.

Students who are absent more than 10 hours may not be permitted to take the final examination. The teacher may mark students absent if they are more than 30 minutes late to a class.

Punctuality

We kindly ask students to be on time out of respect for the teacher and their classmates.

Work Habits

We ask that students be prepared for and participate in each class. Students should bring the necessary class materials, complete class work and homework accurately and on time, and prepare for quizzes, tests and examinations.

Smoking

Smoking is strictly prohibited both inside and in the immediate vicinity of our buildings.

Cell phones

We kindly ask students (except those who are doctors) to turn off their cell phones during class

Placement

A student’s (both new and returning) placement in class is not guaranteed until the student pays the fees for that session.

Personal Property

The ALC cannot and does not take responsibility for any valuables lost or stolen on the ALC premises. In addition, the ALC is not responsible for motorbikes or bicycles left with the guardian on the street of the ALC. We kindly ask students not to leave their personal property and valuables unattended.
